Kombucha Workshop
Kombucha is a centuries old drink made by fermenting sweetened tea. While many varieties are available to purchase at a store, the bottling process nullifies much of the flavors and health benefits. Slightly fizzy, with varying levels of acidity, home-brewed kombucha has a refreshing, almost addicting flavor.
If you are looking to get started in fermentation at home with an ongoing, low maintenance project, or you want to gain access to new robust flavors for cooking, this class is for you.
JT will guide you through the steps to making an amazing kombucha; he will talk about what a SCOBY is; the best kinds of tea and sugar to use to keep your SCOBY healthy; the right ratios, the best containers and more! You will end the class with a tasting of a variety of kombuchas together with some of Cherry Grove’s cheeses. You will take home your own scoby to take care of at home as well as written instructions and recipes.
Class runs approximately 1.5 hours
