Truffles & Tarts
Have you ever wanted to make a simply beautiful and delicious tart to serve to family and/or friends? Chef Lydia of Inn at Glencairn will show you how to create one of her go-to breakfast tarts, using Cherry Grove cheese, and then you will make your own individual tart. She will also teach you how to make her now-famous Java Truffles (chocolate!). You will participate in the making of a tart and some truffles, and then eat what you have created. A simple salad will accompany the tart. You will go home feeling confident in your tart-making abilities and have some truffles to enjoy with family…along with recipes! A lovely Mothers Day activity or a way to learn how to make your mother a tart and truffles to give her on Mothers Day.
Plan to bring your own rolling pin (some extra will be at the farm). Everything else will be supplied.
